IFSD Fire Department Listing | FDs serving Indigenous Communities can be listed here
IFSD Fire Department Registration Award | Recognition of meeting a FN Ont. FD standard
IFSD Fire Department Accredited Award | Recognition of meeting a higher FN Ont. std.
We can help you!
We can "Register Your Department" if you are ready or help you get registered, if you are not quite ready. We also have the ability to send or liaise and support you through our Indigenous Fire Service Directory Recognition programs
Individuals
We have been asked if there are ways that Individuals may also get recognised as Registered or Accredited members. In short the answer is yes, but we are not launching it publicly until the winter of 2025 unless you are in certain test launch groups.

* Registered and Accredited badges are awarded to Fire Rescue Department members and other recognized individuals who have earned the right to wear them.
Committee Members may also wear these badges while actively serving, provided they complete the IFSD orientation.
After earning the IFSD badge, permission to wear it on a uniform must be granted by the individual’s organization.
Any supporters who complete the IFSD Orientation may wear the logo which does not depict the Registered or Accredited Status.
Anyone including the Chief or Fire Department representative "Listed."
The IFSD logo (pictured) can be worn many ways to proudly show that you / your department is listed.
For example the cloth Badge or Lapel Pin be worn on Fire Uniform to show they are listed on the IFSD - Directory. There is NO COST to be listed if you are a Fire Department with a Chief, Manager and / or FPO providing Fire Rescue services to an Indigenous Community.
The Chief and Fire Department can collectively meet a standard and be "registered."
The silver circle badge (pictured) can be worn many ways to proudly show that you / your department has gone through an application process and is registered.
For example the metal Pocket Badge can be worn over Class A Uniform tunics / jackets on the right pocket or even on the right pocket of smart Class B Uniform. The cloth badge can be work on "working fatigues" (Class B Work wear) or Station Wear (T Shirt, Job Shirt, etc.)

The Chief and Fire Department can become "Accredited" as an IFSD Fire Department.
The Gold Shield badge (pictured) can be worn and displayed many ways to proudly show that you / your department has passed a thorough and rigorous evaluation.
For example the metal Pocket Badge can be worn over Class A Uniform tunics / jackets on the right pocket or even on the right pocket of smart Class B Uniform. The cloth badge can be work on "working fatigues" (Class B Work wear) or Station Wear (T Shirt, Job Shirt, etc.)
