This is a 2022 recap of a few of the many year's activities and notable achievements.
Former Fire Chief and current Indigenous Fire Marshal Arnold Lazare hosted The Independent First Nations Alliance Tribal Council Regional Fire Rescue (IFNA RFR) Chief Fire Officers Nick Rhone and Gary Foo for a great cultural exchange and visit to Kahnawa:ke First Nation, Quebec in March 2022. This was a very special visit for Chief Rhone and Foo to view the incredible set up, led by Chief Lazare and share in ideas and ways to enhance safety in First Nations communities.

The Kahnawake Mohawk Territory is a First Nations reserve on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada, across from Montreal. Established as Seigneury Sault du St-Louis by French Canadians in 1719 as a Jesuit mission, it was formerly known as Caughnawaga. [Source: Wiki]
ERTSAR were honoured to be requested to deploy to Big Trout Lake (Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation) and the Saggius Sainnawap Memorial Health Centre. This was coordinated by the IFNA Tribal Council Regional Fire Rescue in response to some COVID 19 issues threatening the community. The ERTSAR team including medicals and Fire Rescue members were able to also assist the KI Fire Department while there.

The Six Nations Fire and Emergency Services hosted the Annual Ontario Native Firefighters Society AGM and Competition this year (2022). (More here)
